Acceptable Use Policy

Effective October 13, 2026 · Version 1.0 · Operated by Ashlar Enterprises LLC

The rules everyone in a LifeAnchor household must follow, so the service stays safe, private and reliable for every family.

1.In plain English

Use LifeAnchor to run your own household, lawfully and kindly. Don’t use it to hurt anyone, to get at information that isn’t yours, or to attack or copy the service. Treat children’s accounts as tools for the child, not against them. If you find a security problem, tell us privately instead of testing it on real data.

This Acceptable Use Policy (the “Policy”) forms part of the LifeAnchor Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses LifeAnchor, including the account holder, co-heads, adult members and child members. The account holder is responsible for making sure that the members they add follow it. Words defined in the Terms have the same meaning here.

2.Illegal and harmful content

You must not use LifeAnchor to create, store, upload or share content that:

  • is illegal, or that promotes or facilitates illegal activity;
  • sexually exploits or endangers children in any way, including child sexual abuse material. We will report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement as the law requires;
  • infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights;
  • contains viruses, malware or other harmful code; or
  • is fraudulent or deceptive, such as forged documents or records created to mislead someone.

3.Respect for other people

You must not use LifeAnchor to harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, abuse or demean anyone, inside or outside your household. That includes using shared calendars, chores, rewards, messages, notes or health views to monitor, control or punish another adult against their will.

Other people’s documents and information. Do not upload another person’s identity documents (such as a birth certificate, Social Security card, passport, driver’s licence, Medicaid card, transcript, immunisation record or court document), health information or financial information unless you have the legal authority to do so, for example as the parent or legal guardian of a child, or with that person’s permission. On profiles, LifeAnchor stores only the last four digits of a Social Security number; do not enter a full Social Security number anywhere in LifeAnchor.

Children’s accounts are for the child. Parents and guardians manage child accounts on the child’s behalf. You must not use a child’s account, or the information in it, against the child’s interests, for example to expose the child to harm, to share the child’s information with people who should not have it, or to misrepresent the child’s identity, age or records.

Impersonation. Do not pretend to be someone else, create accounts for people who do not exist in order to mislead, or add someone to your household who has not agreed (or, for a child, whose parent or guardian has not agreed).

4.Security and access

You must not:

  • try to access, read, change or delete another household’s data, or data within your own household that you have not been given permission to see;
  • try to get around sign-in, two-step verification, session limits, permissions, age limits, rate limits or any other security or access control;
  • share your sign-in with others, use another person’s sign-in, or sell, rent or transfer an account;
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of LifeAnchor or its infrastructure, or run penetration tests, without our prior written permission;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service, for example by overloading it, sending automated traffic, or attacking its servers or service providers; or
  • use LifeAnchor to attack, probe or gain unauthorized access to any other system.

Found a security problem? We welcome good-faith reports. Please follow the vulnerability-reporting instructions in our Security statement, report privately to [email protected], and do not access, change or keep other people’s data while doing so.

5.Scraping, automation and reverse engineering

You must not:

  • scrape, crawl or harvest data from LifeAnchor using bots, scripts or other automated means, except through features we provide for that purpose;
  • copy, frame or mirror any part of LifeAnchor;
  • decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer LifeAnchor or try to derive its source code, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction; or
  • use LifeAnchor to build a competing product, or resell or offer it to others as a service, without our written permission.

6.AI features

LifeAnchor’s AI features run on your household’s own AI provider account. When you use them you must also follow your provider’s usage policies. You must not:

  • try to make an AI feature diagnose a condition, interpret medical readings, or calculate or adjust insulin or medication doses, or otherwise try to extract medical advice from it;
  • try to bypass the AI features’ safeguards, including the age limits on health and finance AI, for example by giving it instructions hidden in text, photos, documents or web pages (“prompt injection”);
  • use AI features to generate content that this Policy prohibits; or
  • connect an AI provider key that you do not have the right to use.

See the AI Features Notice for how the AI features work and the safeguards they apply.

7.Connected mailboxes and accounts

If you connect an email account, calendar, contacts or other service, you must use it lawfully and in line with that provider’s terms. You must not use LifeAnchor to send spam, bulk or unsolicited commercial messages, phishing messages, or messages that impersonate someone else, and you must not connect an account that you are not authorized to use.

8.The Emergency Card

The Emergency Card lets someone with the card’s link or access see a person’s emergency information (such as allergies, medications, conditions, blood type and physician details) for a limited time. You must:

  • create or share an Emergency Card only for yourself or for someone you are authorized to act for, such as your child;
  • share the card’s link or access only with people who need it to help in an emergency, such as a caregiver, babysitter or coach; and
  • not use an Emergency Card, or emergency access, to look at someone’s health information for any other reason.

9.Homeschool co-ops

Homeschool co-ops bring several families together. In a co-op, a child’s label and bio are visible to the other families in that co-op. If you take part in a co-op you must:

  • treat other families and their children with respect, and never harass, bully or exclude anyone unlawfully;
  • share only information about your own children, or information you are authorized to share;
  • use what you see about other families only for the co-op’s purposes, and not copy, publish or share it outside the co-op; and
  • follow any reasonable rules your co-op’s organizers set, as long as they are consistent with this Policy.

10.Enforcement

If we reasonably believe that someone has broken this Policy, we may, depending on the seriousness of the issue:

  • ask the person or the account holder to stop or to remove the content;
  • remove or restrict access to the content;
  • restrict a feature, such as AI features, a connected account or co-op participation;
  • suspend or terminate the member’s account or the household’s account, as described in the Terms of Service; and
  • report the matter to law enforcement or other authorities where the law requires it or where we believe someone is at risk of harm.

Where reasonably practicable and lawful, we will tell you what we have done and why, and give you a chance to respond. We are not obliged to monitor content, and our decision not to act in one case does not waive our right to act in another.

11.Reporting abuse

If you believe someone is breaking this Policy, or that LifeAnchor is being used to harm you or a child, tell us at [email protected] or through the in-app Feedback button. Include as much detail as you can, but do not send us copies of other people’s sensitive documents unless we ask for them.

If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911 first. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
