Service Providers & Integrations
Effective October 13, 2026 · Version 1.0 · Operated by Ashlar Enterprises LLC
The companies that help us run LifeAnchor, the outside services you can choose to connect, and how we keep this list current.
1.The short version
This page lists the service providers that process data on behalf of Ashlar Enterprises LLC (“Ashlar”, “we”, “us”) to operate LifeAnchor, and the third-party services you can choose to connect. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
2.Service providers that process data for us
These providers process data on our behalf so that LifeAnchor can work. We use each one only for the purpose shown.
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase, Inc. | Database, sign-in (authentication), file storage and real-time updates | All account data you and your household store in LifeAnchor | United States (US East region) |
| DigitalOcean, LLC | Hosting the LifeAnchor application servers | All data passing through the app servers while you use LifeAnchor | United States (New York region) |
| Resend | Sending service emails, such as two-step verification codes and project invitations (sent from [email protected]) | Your email address, the code, and inviter and project names | Provider’s cloud infrastructure |
| Cloudflare, Inc. (Turnstile), where enabled | Bot protection on the sign-up form | Browser and device signals and IP address used to tell people from bots | Cloudflare’s global network |
| OpenStreetMap services (Overpass API and Nominatim) | Gym finder search; looking up the household’s weather location | For gym search, only the centre point of a ZIP code — never your address. For weather, the city or ZIP text you typed | Servers operated by those services; may be outside the United States |
| Open-Meteo | Weather forecasts | Coordinates of the household’s weather location | Servers operated by the service; may be outside the United States |
| Open Food Facts | Barcode and food search | The barcode or search text you enter | Servers operated by the service; may be outside the United States |
OpenStreetMap services, Open-Meteo and Open Food Facts receive only the limited lookup information shown above — not your name, email address or account details. These lookups are made by LifeAnchor’s servers, not by your browser, so these services see our server’s network address — not yours.
LifeAnchor does not use advertising networks, analytics or tracking tools (no Google Analytics, no pixels, no session recording), or data brokers. We do not use a bank-aggregation service; bank information comes only from statements you import or details you enter. Statement files you import are parsed on our own servers, not sent to a third party. No payment processor is connected while LifeAnchor is in beta.
3.Services you choose to connect
The services below are used only if you, or your household’s administrator, choose to connect them. When you connect one, data moves between LifeAnchor and that provider under your own account with them, and that provider’s own terms and privacy policy apply to what they hold. These providers are not acting as our service providers.
| Service | What it’s used for | What moves, and which way | How to disconnect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Email (Gmail), calendar and contacts; optional sign-in with Google where enabled | Gmail: full mailbox access as granted on Google’s consent screen. Calendar and Contacts: read-only — copied from Google into LifeAnchor | Disconnect the account in LifeAnchor, and/or remove LifeAnchor’s access in your Google Account security settings | |
| Microsoft (Outlook) | Email, calendar and contacts | Mail: read and send. Calendar and contacts: read and write — changes can flow both ways between LifeAnchor and Outlook | Disconnect the account in LifeAnchor, and/or remove LifeAnchor’s access in your Microsoft account settings |
| Apple iCloud | Email, calendar and contacts | Connected with an app-specific password you create at Apple; calendar and contact data is exchanged with iCloud as the sync feature describes in the app | Disconnect the account in LifeAnchor, and revoke the app-specific password in your Apple Account settings |
| Other email (IMAP) | Connecting another mailbox | Mail from the mailbox you connect, using the credentials you provide | Disconnect the mailbox in LifeAnchor and change that mailbox’s password if you wish |
| Oura | Showing and logging ring data in Health | From Oura into LifeAnchor: sleep, readiness, heart rate, blood oxygen and similar measures | Disconnect in LifeAnchor, and/or revoke access in your Oura account |
| Dexcom | Showing and logging glucose readings in Health | From Dexcom into LifeAnchor: glucose readings | Disconnect in LifeAnchor, and/or revoke access in your Dexcom account |
| Tidepool | Showing and logging diabetes device data in Health | From Tidepool into LifeAnchor: diabetes device data | Disconnect in LifeAnchor, and/or revoke access in your Tidepool account |
| Tandem pump export (file import) | Importing insulin pump logs | Only the export file you upload; LifeAnchor does not connect to Tandem | Nothing to disconnect; delete imported records in the app or ask us |
| AI providers: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google (Gemini), or another OpenAI-compatible provider | AI features, using your household’s own account and API key | From LifeAnchor to the provider: the request, including any personal, health or finance information the feature needs. The provider’s answer comes back. Your household is billed by the provider | Remove the key in LifeAnchor’s AI settings, and/or revoke the key in your account with the provider |
Some safeguards apply to AI requests no matter which provider you use. Health information goes only to first-party Anthropic, OpenAI or Google connections that a household administrator has confirmed. Finance AI is off unless your household turns it on, and it never sends account names or numbers, notes or member names. See our AI Notice for details.
A few other features reach outside LifeAnchor when you use them:
- Pharmacy buttons are simple links that open the pharmacy’s own website.
- Recipe import and job-posting import fetch the web page at the address you supply.
- Voice input in the fitness companion uses your browser’s built-in speech recognition, which is processed by your browser’s maker.
- Meeting transcription in the Prompter tool uses your household’s own OpenAI key.
Disconnecting a service stops future syncing. Information already brought into LifeAnchor stays until you delete it or ask us to. See Data Retention & Deletion.
4.Our own customer system
Ashlar also runs its own internal customer-relationship system (crm.tryashlar.com). It is operated by Ashlar Enterprises LLC — the same company that operates LifeAnchor — not by an outside vendor. We use it for customer support, billing administration, and handling bug and feedback reports.
It holds the account holder’s name, email address and phone number; the plan and account status; the names and member types of household members; the household’s add-ons; and any feedback text and page address you submit through the in-app Feedback button. It is not used to store your health records.
5.Data attribution
- Gym finder map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL).
- Food and barcode data from Open Food Facts, available under the Open Database License (ODbL).
- Weather data from Open-Meteo.
6.Open-source software
LifeAnchor is built with open-source software. The Scientific Calculator uses math.js, licensed under the Apache License 2.0, along with other libraries released under the MIT License. The full license notices are available in the calculator under MODE → About.
7.How we keep this list up to date
When we add, remove or change a service provider, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top.
If we plan to add a service provider that would receive health information, we will give notice in the app before the change takes effect, so you have time to review it and decide what to do — including asking us to delete your data.
